We last refreshed sensitivity tables, DPI conversion logic and game version targets on Friday, May 8, 2026. Counter-Strike 2 changed its mouse-input handling subtly with the September 2024 patch, and Valorant’s in-game sens scalar is still 0.07 (multiply by your eDPI to compare across titles). Apex on Steam vs Origin uses different default polling rates — we default to 1000 Hz in calculations.

Something practical from our own playtesting. Pros at major LANs are routinely on 800 DPI with eDPI between 320 and 400 for tac-shooters, but the spread is wider than people expect — ZywOo runs ~310 eDPI, donk runs ~380, and stewie2k is closer to 460. The “low sens is better” rule of thumb breaks down once you cross 28cm/360 territory; arm aiming dominates from there.

As Pat “PistolPat” Foster, who has been writing about FPS sensitivity for The Loadout and analysing pro settings since 2018, put it during a 2024 stream on the topic — “The fastest way to lose tracking accuracy is to switch sens during a slump. Stick with one number for at least 60 hours of play before you blame the settings.” Worth keeping in mind before retuning mid-season.
